CERAMIC WORKSHOP IN PORTO, PORTUGAL

About this experience

In this 3 hour workshop you will be introduced to the enchanted world of ceramics with theory and practice of this universe.

Our session will cover several secrets about the world of pottery such as:

• How to treat clay
• Different types of clay
• Clay/ceramic states
• Slip & score technique
• Four types of modeling: Plate, pinch, coil, hollow modeling.
• Decoration
• Painting 

 Includes:

• 3 hours of workshop
• All the necessary materials and tools
• First oven batch

Post-baking you can pick up your piece 7 to 10 days later.

Course level:

Beginner.

Anyone, with or without experience in ceramics, can attend our workshops.

Manu Souza

Manu is a graphic designer by profession, illustrator and ceramist with an atelier in Oporto, north of Portugal. She lived in different countries around the world, got to know different cultures and habits.

The call of ceramics happened when the love of art in its purest essence, creating with the hands, spoke louder than the 15 years of graphic work using digital media. She chose ceramics as a means to express all of her experiences abroad.
