That was the goal when ONE by BNP Paribas partnered with CEDRO for a creative SOIL PAINTING WORKSHOP hosted at Casa do Pico in Carcavelos.
The Experience: A Creative Soil Painting Workshop
Across two sessions, associates explored the creative possibilities of painting with natural earth pigments, extracted from local minerals and soils.
The experience began with an introduction to natural pigments, the tools and materials, and the different colours that can be created from the earth. Participants then chose their own designs, creating freeform compositions or taking inspiration from floral motifs with the help of templates.
Using handmade canvases crafted from veneer and pressed cardboard, participants experimented with organic, earthy tones and learned techniques to add texture and dimension to their artwork.
All materials were locally sourced from Portugal, creating a hands-on experience that connected creativity, art, and nature in a relaxed and engaging setting.
At the end of the workshop, everyone took home a unique artwork to display at home and a memorable experience shared with their colleagues.
