SOIL PAINTING WORKSHOP IN LISBON, PORTUGAL

About this experience

In this 2-hour workshop, you’ll explore the magic of creating with natural earth pigments, extracted from local minerals and soils. Discover a wide range of unique, organic colors while learning how to work with these beautiful, sustainable materials.

The session includes a brief introduction to natural pigments, a presentation of the tools and materials, and the choice of your design—you can create a freeform composition or be inspired by floral motifs with the help of templates. You’ll also learn techniques to add texture and dimension, giving your artwork a three-dimensional effect.

We’ll paint on handmade 19 x 24 cm canvases crafted from veneer and pressed cardboard. All materials are locally sourced from Portugal, and no prior experience is needed—just bring your curiosity and your love for art and nature!

Course Level

Beginner. Anyone, with or without prior experience in painting or the visual arts, can participate in our workshops.
