Produced by cold saponification. Gentle cleansing. Moisturises and nourishes your skin - pH: 10. Tested under dermatological control. Suitable for all skin types, even the most sensitive.

It can also be used to make your own household products and will replace all your daily soaps. Our gentle soaps are sold in minimalist, plastic-free packaging and are perfect for travelling, since they are allowed to be carried in the cabin baggage.

The manufacture of our solid soaps

They are cold saponified and made from a fatty substance composed of organic olive oil. Fat composed of 100% olive oil of biological origin.

A fragrance-free handmade soap

Our soaps are very gentle and universal. They do not contain essential oils. They are perfectly suited to all skin types, even pregnant and breastfeeding women, babies and children. You can use it with our organic cotton washcloth, which is also suitable for sensitive skin. The glycerin contained in our soaps is not added, unlike industrial soaps called "glycerinated". It is indeed the glycerin naturally contained in olive oil.

A cold saponified soap

Saponification is a chemical reaction between olive oil and NaOH soda which gives soap and glycerine. The soda used is sodium hydroxide with the formula NaOH which is also called caustic soda.

Handcrafted in Marseille, France. Sold and sent in PEFC-certified Kraft and cardboard packaging which are both recyclable.comme-avant 

Material

All this from 100% natural ingredients.

Olive oil: olive oil is rich in antioxidants, it protects and nourishes all skin types.

Vegetable Glycerin: is a moisturising agent whose effectiveness on cells has been scientifically demonstrated. Due to its softening properties, it helps to improve the appearance of the skin by making it supple and smooth. In addition, it helps maintain the water content of the epidermis by prolonging its hydration.

INCI: Sodium Olivate, Aqua, Olea Europaea Fruit Oil (extra olive oil), Glycérine (natural glycerin from olive oil).

Care

To wash your body and face: moisten the soap and glide it over your skin to gently cleanse it.

To shave: wet the soap and apply it to the area to be shaved. No need for aftershave, the fat from the soap will moisturise your skin.

For prolonged use, store the soap in a dry place away from heat and humidity. Properly stored, before use, the soap can be kept for 2 to 3 years.

About the Brand

COMME AVANT is a family business that was born in 2017 in Marseille, when Sophie and Nil’s newborn son Nael started suffering from red patches in her hands and legs. No product, not even those certified organic, could relieve her irritation. That’s when they decided to make their own soap. A simple but super effective range of zero waste, organic and certified products arose from that first soap.

Their products are formulated with few quality ingredients, natural and effective. No colourants, perfumes or preservatives. In powder or solid formats, which are also cost-effective as they last longer on average than their liquid versions. Suitable for all the family, children and pregnant women.

All their products are handmade in their artisanal workshop near Marseille and packed and delivered in 100% compostable materials.
